Woodford Double Oaked 90.4 proof, Kentucky Straight Bourbon. An interesting twist on the classic straight bourbon. The whiskey is first matured in new charred white oak barrels, as usual, but before bottling is transferred to special heavily toasted, lightly charred finishing barrel. This gives it quite a different flavour to normal, with lots of spicy oak coming through on the palate
Tasting Notes: Rich notes of dark fruit, caramel, sharp honey, chocolate, marzipan and toasted oak. Palate of a full-bodied mix of vanilla, dark caramel, hazelnut, apple, fruit and spices. Long and creamy with lingering hints of honeyed apple Finish.
